1939. No Edition Remarks. 306 pages. No dust jacket. Red cloth. Skin And Bones The Hilarious Tale Of The Embarrassments Of A Gentleman Who Had Difficulties With His Integument. Pages are mildly tanned throughout. Text is clear. Binding remains firm. Boards have moderate edge-wear with bumping to corners and rubbing to surfaces. Visible sunning & crushing to spine. Noticeable water staining to spine. Minor splits causing fraying to cloth at spine ends.

Good. No Jacket 16mo-over 5¾"-6¾" tall. Crease in spine back cover bottom corner missing, 274 pgs., pg 270 cracked open through signature, pages clean vg.

A sweet gift annotation on the front free endpaper and occasional speckles of foxing. This book is still structurally sound and remains perfectly reliable and legible throughout, and is simply showing it's age a little much to be presented on a shelf. An excellent reading copy.

Reprint. Long shallow crease in spine. Covers and page edges generally and evenly discolored by use over time. Interior unmarked. Wonderful capital letter decorations by Herbert Roese. Binding still tight.

Maroon colored hard cover book in fair condition. No dust jacket. The spine and area near bottom of book are faded. There is a 1/2" chip at the back top spine and smaller chips along the front top edge. There is a stain along the spine area of the front free endpaper and a tiny smudge on the following page. The front paste down has two names in ink that have been lined out. Small scratch at top of page103 and disconnect in the binding on page 116. Otherwise, the binding is tight. No underlining or marks on pages. The pages have untrimmed edges but no tears. Some yellowing on outside of pages throughout book. Copyright is 1933 and printed by Sun Dial Press in 1939. 306 pages.

Second printing bound in black cloth with gold lettering and decoratio n. Very Good condition. Bumps to the book's upper corners. Slight spin e lean. Mild fading to the spine. No dust jacket.

1954. Reprinted. 340 pages. No dust jacket. Grey cloth boards with lettering. Pages are heavily tanned with noticeable foxing throughout. Pen markings to front free endpaper. Binding remains firm. Boards have mild edge-wear with slight rubbing to surfaces and bumping to corners. Lettering is bright and clear. Moderate tanning and wear marks to spine and boards with crushing to spine ends.

Pocket Books No.490, first printing with wonderful color cover art and b& interior illustrations by Herbert Roese; Thorne Smith at his best; this copy is Fine- (except for a slight corner bump, it is mint) and is very scarce in described condition.

4th prtg. #490.Paperback. Unabridged. Light pencil on top edges of leaves else G-VG. About 1/4 in section of fore-crnr of front cv chipped that doesn't detract; cv creases/wear detract light-mod. Bright; square.

Octavo, hardcover, VG in brown embossed boards. No dj. Name on endpaper else no markings. 306 pp. "When Quintus Bland set out to enjoy the evening he had not the slightest idea that he was destined to become a skeleton." A charming tale by one of America's great humorists. .
