    Hardcover
    ISBN: 9780684138275
Publisher: Charles Scribner's Sons, New York (1974)

Seller: Space Age Books LLC (Conroe, TX, U.S.A.)
    Used Book—Condition: Very Good

Full printing line with "1" on its copyright page. Signed, with no personalization or inscription, by author R. A. Lafferty on its title page. This book is in very good condition, marred only by some faint scuffs on its back cover, very light bumps on its covers' back bottom corner and bottom of its spine, plus a small faint stain on top of its text block and a few tiny spots of foxing on the bottom of its text block (none of which extend onto page faces.) Its binding is sound and square, with no spine crease. Covers are unmarked and otherwise unworn. Pages are unworn and otherwise unmarked. Its dust jacket, now protected by a removable mylar cover, is also in very good condition: whole and bright, marred only by a couple of small faint gray stains on its front and back, plus traces of wear on the ends of its spine and flap folds, but otherwise unmarked and unworn. I will ship this book in a moisture proof zip-loc bag, padded in bubble wrap, inside a sturdy box to assure it reaches its new owner in the same condition as my description.

DOES ANYONE ELSE HAVE SOMETHING FURTHER TO ADD? STORIES ABOUT SECRET PLACES AND MEAN MEN
    by Lafferty, R[aphael] A[loysius]

    Paperback
    ISBN: 9780684138275
Publisher: Charles Scribner's Sons, New York (1974)

Seller: Currey, L.W. Inc. ABAA/ILAB (Elizabethtown, NY, U.S.A.)
    Used Book—Condition: unspecified
    Book Price: $150.00
    Shipping: $6.00
    TOTAL Cost: $156.00

Large octavo, 177 leaves printed on rectos only, white wrappers, spiral black plastic spine. Xerographic reproduction of long galleys (uncorrected proof) of the first edition. The author's third collection of short fiction, "sixteen stories by a satirist whose fantasies are peopled with appealing grotesqueries. R. A. Lafferty's unique imaginative world, sardonic and strange, is shown to its best advantage in his short fiction . In DOES ANYONE ELSE HAVE SOMETHING FURTHER TO ADD? we are treated to a full complement of Lafferty's malicious virtuosity and sly tomfoolery." - Greta Eisner. Includes "Mad Man," a tale of the future in which the creation of robots depends on a chemical produced only by people in furious rages, and "Maybe Jones and the City," a parody of the utopian impulse in which the protagonist searches the universe for the Perfect Place. One of the major short story collections of the 1970s. Survey of Science Fiction Literature II, pp. 574-78. See Anatomy of Wonder (2004) II-622. Wrappers soiled, internally fine. A photocopy of the publisher's "editorial report" is laid in. A rare proof. (#158882)
