Wear to the boards, head and tail of the spine. The boards are shaken and beginning to loosen from the binding, with minor soiling to the boards. Various scuffs and scratches to the boards, but nothing too significant. The cloth on the spine is trying to separate from the binding as well with tears on the edges and thinning of the material. Pages have some tanning areas, shown especially on the endpages. All pages have markings on the numbers near the foot edge of the pages, varying in colors, some are purple and some are orange, but consist of various x's and o's. Otherwise, good. GOOD, AS/IS.

nach der Bestellung gedruckt Neuware - Printed after ordering - Captain Salt In Oz: Founded On And Continuing The Famous Oz Stories By L. Frank BaumThis book is a result of an effort made by us towards making a contribution to the preservation and repair of original classic literature. In an attempt to preserve, improve and recreate the original content, we have worked towards:1. Type-setting & Reformatting: The complete work has been re-designed via professional layout, formatting and type-setting tools to re-create the same edition with rich typography, graphics, high quality images, and table elements, giving our readers the feel of holding a 'fresh and newly' reprinted and/or revised edition, as opposed to other scanned & printed (Optical Character Recognition - OCR) reproductions.2. Correction of imperfections: As the work was re-created from the scratch, therefore, it was vetted to rectify certain conventional norms with regard to typographical mistakes, hyphenations, punctuations, blurred images, missing content/pages, and/or other related subject matters, upon our consideration. Every attempt was made to rectify the imperfections related to omitted constructs in the original edition via other references. However, a few of such imperfections which could not be rectified due to intentionalunintentional omission of content in the original edition, were inherited and preserved from the original work to maintain the authenticity and construct, relevant to the work.We believe that this work holds historical, cultural and/or intellectual importance in the literary works community, therefore despite the oddities, we accounted the work for print as a part of our continuing effort towards preservation of literary work and our contribution towards the development of the society as a whole, driven by our beliefs. We are grateful to our readers for putting their faith in us and accepting our imperfections with regard to preservation of the historical content. HAPPY READING!

Nice vintage copy of the 30th book in the Oz series, "Captain Salt in Oz." The book is overall in very good+ condition with some minor signs of wear and age. It comes in a very good vintage dust jacket which only has some minor wear. The jacket is circa about 1951, though the actual book may be a little earlier than that as the jacket sits slightly low on the covers. The covers of the book only have some light wear. The binding is good and sound. The interior is lightly toned from age but is mostly crisp and clean, though there may be the very occasional page with some kind of minor imperfection. Generally though, it's a very nice copy. The book measures approximately 9 1/4 inches by 7 inches and is 304 pages long with several black and white illustrations. *********This book will require additional shipping charges if being sent outside of the United States*********

Book is VG or better except that fifty pages or so have the top corner torn away where someone, probably a child marked the place with a tear rather than a dogear. There is some light wear to the book otherwise, but this is a very attractive copy. The jacket appears to be from a later issue and has wear, tape repairs, chips, tears and scuffs. While it is still presentable, it is in the Fair to Good range. This was one of Ruth Plumly Johnson's contributions to the Oz canon and is the first of these books not to have any color illustrations beyond the cover art. ; Cover Art and B&W Drawings; Large 8vo 9" - 10" tall; 306 pages
