Contains 'The Gods of the Mountain', 'The Golden Doom', 'King Argimenes and the Unknown Warrior', 'The Glittering Gate' and 'The Lost Silk Hat'; introduction by Bjorkman. Originally published in Great Britain in 1914 (see Currey, page 169).

Wear (mouse nibbles?) at bottom right of boards. Otherwise a very good, tight (unread?) copy of five fantasy plays by an author who strongly influenced Lovecraft.

Burgundy cloth with dulled/darkened gilt lettering. Minor edgewear and soil, and slightly bumped spine ends and corners. Binding a little tender, text clean. Interior lightly toned. Not illustrated. Prev owner name "Shaun Bayard" to ffep with brief gift inscription in pencil. Brentano's bookshop label to rear pastedown. No stamps. Not ex-library. 116 pages.

Part of the Modern Drama Series, edited by Edwin Bjorkman. First edition thus. Light shelf wear and aging, else very good in dark red cloth. No dust jacket. This copy belonged to actor Burford Hampden and bears his ownership signature on the front free endpaper.
