Publisher's spine cloth over paper-covered boards. VERY GOOD. Shows very slight shelf rubbing of the extremities, spine title label somewhat toned and rubbed, former owner name neatly at the front endpaper, otherwise the binding is strong and tight, the text remains clean and unmarked, and the boards are bright and distinct. As pictured.

First edition. One of 718 numbered copies printed by the Grabhorn Press in San Francisco. Signed by Cabell. Thin octavo. Pp. [vi, 34]. Printed in orange and black. Headpiece portrait by William H. Cotton. Handset Lutetia type. Gray decorated boards, gray cloth spine, gray spine label printed in black. A fine copy. Distributed in America by Random House to commemorate Cabell's 50th birthday, this collection of sonnets was most likely paraphrased by Gerald Musgrave, an obscure Victorian poet. Cabell edited this work, providing an introduction and lengthy annotations. One of the Fifty Book of the Year. [Grabhorn: 118].
