First Edition hardback with the letters B C D E on the copyright page. The dust jacket states the book is a Welsh medieval tale "based on the vigorous oral tradition of Welsh prose." Illustrated by Harry Lewine. Dust Jacket by Seymour Chwast. Price Clipped. No inscriptions or writing of any kind. A very good copy of the book and dust jacket. Slight scuffing at the top and bottom of the spine. The dust jacket illustrations are repeated on the boards of the book. Endpapers are black. Seare's real name is Rodney William Whitaker and wrote under several pseudonyms. Trevanian is the name he used for "The Eiger Sanction" later to become a movie with Clint Eastwood.
