Print on Demand. This book tells the strange and wonderful tale of Amos Kilbright, a man who drowned in 1785 and was mysteriously reanimated by spiritualists over a century later. The author, a prominent member of a society dedicated to investigating the phenomena of spiritualism, was charged with protecting Kilbright from the spiritualists who wished to reverse their unintended act of reanimation. Set against the backdrop of late 19th century America, the story explores the clash between the old and new, as Kilbright, a man from the 18th century, struggles to adapt to the rapidly changing world around him. Through Kilbright's experiences, the author delves into themes of identity, personal significance, and the nature of existence itself. Thought-provoking and insightful, this book captivates with its unique perspective on spirituality, the human experience, and the enduring question of what happens after death. The author's meticulous research and skillful storytelling combine to create a literary experience that is both captivating and thought-provoking. This book is a reproduction of an important historical work, digitally reconstructed using state-of-the-art technology to preserve the original format. In rare cases, an imperfection in the original, such as a blemish or missing page, may be replicated in the book.
