"First Printing" on its copyright page. Signed, with no personalization or inscription, on its title page by author Jack Vance. This book is in near fine condition, marred only by light bumps on its spine ends, plus some traces of light rubbing on its covers' black cloth. Its binding is sound and square, with no spine crease. Covers are unmarked and otherwise unworn, with bright gilt titles on its spine. Pages are unworn and otherwise unmarked, with perhaps a tiny bit of normal fading to the purple topstain. Its dust jacket, now protected by a removable mylar cover, is also in near fine condition: whole, bright, and unmarked, marred only by the light bumps on its spine ends and front bottom edge. I will ship this book in a moisture proof zip-loc bag, padded in bubble wrap, inside a sturdy box to assure it reaches its new owner in the same condition as my description.

Fine first edition of this collection of tales by Vance. This copy is clean and unmarked throughout and appears unread. The top staining to the page edges is clean and unmarked. The jacket is bright and fresh and is price clipped. The jacket does show some wear primarily to the rear panel with a small tear at the top point and two tears about 1/4 inch to the top edge. The jacket is now housed in a Brodart cover for protection. A rare item in nice condition.
