227 pages. Light discloration of endpapers where touched by dust jacket. Size: 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall

First edition, hardcover, has a tiny skew to the binding, a previous owner's small stamp to the head of the text block and front pastedown, slight bumps to the spine ends and cover corners, and mild sunning to the spine and cover edges, otherwise a solid, tight VG copy in a like unclipped dust jacket, which has small bumps to the spine ends and corners, a touch of edgewear, some slight rubbing to the covers, and mild sun toning to the spine, covers and flaps.

227pp. Octavo [21.5 cm] 1/4 light green with decorative light green paper covered boards. Very good. The covers are subtly darkened. In a very good dust jacket, with yellowing. From the dust jacket- "Every page of Getting into Death- suffused with dazzling humor, with seriousness and cunning and a wry tenderness- demonstrates the inventive brilliance of a totally original writer."
