FIRST EDITION, 2002. Schakel is Hope Professor of English at Hope College. White cloth boards with blue text on the spine. 214 pp. Indexed. Dust wrapper is blue with an artistic lion and text in black. The book has marginalia in pencil and ink. The dust wrapper is nearly fine but has a closed tear of about a half inch. Shelley and Son Books specializes in C.S. Lewis, J.R.R. Tolkien & the Inklings. Full refund if not satisfied.

First edition, hardcover, has a mild skew to the binding, and slight bumps to the spine ends. Overall, this is a solid, tight and clean, Very Good+ copy in a like dust jacket, which has slight bumps to the spine ends and corners, faint sunning to the spine, and a touch of wear to the edges. The jacket is wrapped in Mylar.
