Binding is tight and secure. Some sunning to covers; spine label is slightly aged. Some fraying to top and bottom of spine. Pages 19-20 are mostly but not completely coming away from the binding. Pg. 21 is slightly discolored at the top of the page, not affecting legibility. All other pages are clean and unmarked.

First edition. Hard cover published by William Heinemann in 1934. No dust jacket. Orange covers with black lettering on spine. Corners of covers and ends of spine have some wear. Spine is faded some and has a small scrape near middle. Covers have slight scuffing. Top edge of pages has some small stains near spine. Pages have slight tanning. Book is in good condition. 299 pages, .8 lb.; 12mo 7" - 7½" tall; 299 pages

The second Jorkens book. ''First published 1934'' on the copyright page. Page edges a little browned, a near fine copy (bright orange boards, clear unmarked black lettering on spine).

A FINE, CLEAN AND VERY TIGHT COPY. No jacket. First Edition. A Very Nice Copy. No bumped corners to book. Spine tips are smooth and round. No signatures. No fading to spine. Small bookstore stamp appears on lower corner of front board. Small foxing spots to text block. Pages are clean and white.

Lightly bumped head/tail spine, several small blemishes to the rear board. Boards. The first in a series of three volumes. Now quite desirable in the marketplace.

8vo, pp. 299, original orange cloth with black lettering to spine, this with a light crease and rubbed, very small split at base, covers with some marks, corners rubbed, interior with some tanning and spotting to end papers, otherwise clean and crisp, some tanning and very light foxing to edges, binding sound. Scarce.
