DJ front flap corner clipped, remains on the attractive side despite edge flaws & bit of foxing along fore-edge front panel w/ shallow chipping head of spine (clear of the title) + additional small chips & tears & a couple of longer tears taped on the unprinted side. Lucky Bucky in OzBirthday insc for 14 Mar 1946 on prelim. Red boards bleached around edges, spine ends turned and bumped corners. Picture eps. Spine and binding slightly adrift at top. Bep and fep are thinner paper and quite browned, prelim has also got heavy browning around edges, plus foxing spots which occur in minor amounts throughout a relatively clean copy. worst page as in second image. Possibly due to the immediately post war paper stock used rather than way it has been stored as other copies have similar comments. Bound in original light blue cloth with bright color illustrated paper title label pressed onto the front cover. No name on the "This Book Belongs To" page. Tiny repaired tear to the cloth at the head of the spine, else very good plus in about good dust jacket with $2.00 price on the front flap, and large chips at the head and heal of the spine panel and smaller chips and small tears to the edges. Final title listed on the rear dust jacket flap is "Magical Mimics of Oz" which was published in 1946.

Lucky Bucky in OzPresumed first edition, hardcover in a turquoise green cloth with color illustration pasted to front, has sixteen page gatherings, and "This Book Belongs To" box is on the second front flyleaf. The book has a light lean to the binding which is firm throughout, bumps to spine ends and cover corners with a touch of creasing to corners of first/last several pages, rubbing with some small smudges to covers, and areas of mottling to the cloth, otherwise a solid, tight VG copy with a crisp interior.
