Uncorrected advance proof of one of Wilhelm's least common novels, signed on the third page ("For Tom -- Best wishes, Kate Wilhelm". With a notation (probably from the publisher) in pencil on the front cover "sf -- Frederick Patten". Patten is a member of LASFS and one of the early proselytizers for Japanese animation in the US. Very slight rubbing to extremities, otherwise a lovely copy.
