Night Voices: Available Copies

A collection of seven short stories, a novella ("The Model"), an essay, several introductions, and a memoriam penned by Ramsey Campbell. No remainder mark, not price-clipped, not bumped. Comes in a Brodart protective cover. All books are bubble-wrapped and placed in a sturdy shipping box when mailed. Tracking number supplied on domestic orders.

The last, posthumously published collection of stories by Aickman, first published by Victor Gollancz in 1985. The Tartarus Press first printing of 2013 reprinted those five long stories plus a lot more, beginning with a new introduction by Barry Humphries. Also included was the weird novella THE MODEL (posthumously published in 1987), plus Aickman's ''An Essay'' (written on winning the first World Fantasy Award in 1976), additionally this volume includes all seven of his Introductions to the seven volumes in The Fontana Book of Great Ghost Stories series which he edited: and finally the six-page ''Robert Remembered'', in which author Ramsey Campbell concludes this volume with memories of his friend. However this Tartarus Press 2nd printing of 2015 also now includes a further two stories, ''The Coffin House'' and ''The Fully-Conducted Tour'', both taken from the 2013 Tartarus Press Aickman collection The Strangers And Other Writings, which went o/p very quickly (more or less by the time of publication) and will NOT be reprinted. Note: this 2015 printing retains the 2013 date from the first printing, which is a little confusing. Fine copy in a fine dustjacket (as new).

Square, tight, and clean throughout with little or no wear. Equally attractive unclipped dust-jacket, (£8.95), has a touch of wear at the top edge but is fresh and bright with no chipping, creases or tears. A very pretty collectable copy and quite scarce.

A UK uncorrected proof copy - in a wrapper. THE WRAPPER : The wrapper on this copy is bright, unfaded, complete and unclipped. It is - inevitably - bruised at the spine ends. There are no obvious differences between this wrapper and the wrapper used for the first edition. Looks very sharp. THE BOOK : The book is square and tight. There are no previous ownership inscriptions. The covers are clean and unfaded - there is innocuous toning to the lower edges and a small mark on the front cover where a sticker has been removed. The lower corners are very slightly bruised. The pages are clean. The closed page edges are sound. The binding is tight - no cracked hinges. No remainder marks. Uncommon. An attractive copy in a protected wrapper. Paypal accepted.
