Illustrated version; therein lies the rub. There are twenty seven b/w illustrations. At least a half of them have been coloured in, presumably by a child reader. On the whole this was done carefully. Appealing or appalling? (More photos available on request but see listed examples). Top edge gilt. Other condition-related features: decorated red cloth boards are a little faded in places. Tail of spine a little rubbed. Front pastedown/endpaper: binding material visible. The pages are mildly to moderately tanned with occasional spotting throughout; more evident on the preliminary and final ones. pp. xiii, 297 + 16 pages, with illustrations, about other works, entitled E. Nesbit's Children's Stories. 16mo. Fourth Impression, 1923. Please note that, depending on destination, we may request an additional payment to cover any extra shipping/postage charges.
