You have apparently come to this page from a link on a search engine or another site. If this is your first visit here, I much recommend that you take a few minutes to look over the introductory material accessible via the red “Introductory” zone of the Site Menu available from the “hamburger” icon in the upper right of this (and every) page. An understanding of the purposes and principles of organization of this site will, I hope and believe, much augment your experience here, for this page and in general. paperback 234 pp. This is an unread book and has been kept in perfect condition. There is a small amount of chipping to the front lower-right cover, otherwise, it is pristine. You might not find another copy of this 51-year-old book in this condition. Lin Carter collected 36 of Dunsany's short stories, a play, and a poem for this anthology. It is divided into four sections: Tales of the World's Edge, Tales of Far Away, Tales of Near at Hand, and Tales Jorkens Told. Jorkens is one of Dunsany's most well-known characters. Each section begins with an introduction by Carter. The front of the book includes the tribute Reading Lord Dunsany by H. P. Lovecraft. The stories are a great introduction to one of the world's neglected fantasy masters who preceded J. R. R. Tolkien by a few decades.

"First Printing: April, 1974" stated. Very good plus, if not near fine wraps/paperback. Book has a 1/2 inch by 3/8 inch chip to upper fore-edge corner of rear cover; minor if not trivial wear to spine fold of front cover and age-toning to leaves. Only trivial additional signs of age/wear/previous use.

missing a 10p/25 cent size patch of the rear cover image (there is no hole, just some of the image is removed) - probably due to a label peeled off poorly. Otherwise VG.
