First edition. Octavo. 253 pages. Six stories of the supernatural.Head and tail of spine pushed. Very good in good only, chipped, rubbed and torn dustwrapper showing signs of damp. The condition of the dustwrapper is not ideal, but an uncommon title.

Heavy sunning to jacket spine, Some tears and creasing to top edge, scuff to front jacket panel. Text is clean and unmarked, binding strong. Some foxing, particularly to top page edges. Preliminaries and endpapers slightly foxed, otherwise very good indeed in slightly used, price-clipped, near very good dust jacket. Jacket is slightly creased with a few closed tears, slight rubbing at corners and very slight surface wear.

Blue flecked with gold cloth with gilt to spine. Original dust jacket, clipped. First edition. Jacket designed by Peter Barrett. Wear to extremities of jacket, tear to head of spine and some soiling and rippling to rear. Spine slightly sunned. Water stain to top and side edge. Cloth and text clean and square. A very good copy.

Some age darkening to page edges, foxing to first few leaves, a nearly fine copy in a very good to nearly fine dust jacket with some mild edge wear, small 8 mm closed tear to upper front panel, slight fade to spine panel.
