[1st printing](1958) #D-295. Cover art by Emsh/Valigursky. Creasing; edge, corner and surface wear wiith nicks dings; uneven foredge, many early pages on Klau side are proud.

A readable copy of the book which may include some defects such as highlighting and notes. Cover and pages may be creased and show discolouration.

Both cover images make a nice impression. However, exterior has some dings, some scuffs, some bends, some edgewear, and a little bit of loss at corners of backstrip. All in all, used- but- not-abused. This is the 1st printing of these novels in book form ( 1958) with ( 1952) present which indicates that Slaves of the Klau and (perhaps) Big Planet appeared in a different form in a magazine in the early 50's. 1st printing. Vance is one of my favorite authors. This slight novel about and Earthman trapped on a planet of slaves is an excellent example of his craftsmanship.

Book shows light wear to covers only. Binding is solid and square, covers have sharp corners, text/interior is clean and free of marking of any kind.

Spine is solid and fairly firm, but there is some moderate scuffing to the spine edges and a slight tilt to the spine. Interior text block is firm and solid, and free of markings but a chunk in the middle of the block does show some age toning. Size: 12mo - over 6 3/4 in - 7 3/4 in tall. Year: 1958.
