First Edition. Signed and Inscribed by author. A recounting of the life of a Californian woman. Very Good with some discoloration to covers, without dustjacket.

Oxford gray cloth boards with yellow spine, paper label printed in red on front cover. Spine slightly darkened, but a very fine copy. Printed for Albert Bender by The Grabhorn Press. A tribute to the late Stella Benson, the author who found friendship and work through Albert Bender and others of the San Francisco book world. This copy from the personal collection of Carl I. A brief memoir of British author Stella Benson who spent much time in California by her friend and fellow author Phyllis Bottome. Inscribed to Will (William) Arnold-Forster (another British author, also MP and sometime Bloomsbury Group member) and signed by Bottome on the front blank fly-leaf, she has also added a quote from J R Lowell below her inscription .
