Light foxing to first few pages front and back. Small binding flaw inside rear paste down where paper should have overlapped the board margin upper top right corner. Red cloth w/ gilt lettering, paper boards, frontis. Corners and spine are bumped and somewhat frayed. with a two-inch long tear from the head of the spine. A few minor dampstains and smudges on covers. Very light pencilled notes and foxing throughout, pages and endpapers are browned from missing jacket possibly. Still a very good looking volume.

8vo. 112pp. Bound in plain paper covered boards with red cloth spine with gilt lettering. With plain grey unclipped dust jacket with red lettering. Illustrated with colour frontispiece by Max Beerbohn. Boards are in excellent condition; dust jackets does have two tears about 2cm long and also a little frayed. Inside there are two book plates; Ex libris plate of C.H.L.Bledisloe which is on the verso of the front cover. (Christopher Bathurst, 3rd Viscount Bledisloe (1934-2009), Barrister and politician. The bookplate is designed by his son Rupert Bathhurst); The other for a L.P.Jameson Evans. A very good copy. The story is based where Hay Hill is now in Mayfair London but a few thousand years prior to any major settlement and just a few settlers living together, the dragon forming a bond between them .
