In the two-color illustrated dust jacket with price $5.95 intact on the front flap: edges chipped, light abrasions. Kingsley 1819 - 1875 was a parish priest, Chaplain to the Queen, tutor to the Prince of Wales, professor of History at Cambridge, novelist, Christian Socialist, pamphleteer, etc. Today he's perhaps best known for Westward Ho! and the perennial seller, Water Babies. Dust jacket is now preserved in a clear, removable archival sleeve.
