You have apparently come to this page from a link on a search engine or another site. If this is your first visit here, I much recommend that you take a few minutes to look over the introductory material accessible via the red “Introductory” zone of the Site Menu available from the “hamburger” icon in the upper right of this (and every) page. An understanding of the purposes and principles of organization of this site will, I hope and believe, much augment your experience here, for this page and in general. First UK Edition. Publisher's blue-grey boards with silver lettering to the spine. A very nearly fine copy in a VG price-clipped dustwrapper. with a a spine faded to dark-green, a little glue residue from a price-label removed from the front cover and surface scratches to the back panel. Cover artwork by Charles W. Stewart. A collection of 8 magical short stories by this Scottish playwright and actor. Neil Gaiman opined that Nicholas Stuart Gray "is one of those authors I loved as a boy who holds up even better on rereading as an adult" and "The most interesting of the books I rediscovered were by Nicholas Stuart Gray, who is now unfairly forgotten, but who was, at his best, one of the most brilliant children's authors of the 20th century (The Guardian April 29 2022)". Quite uncommon in our experience.

First edition. Illustrated by Charles W. Stewart. Fine in fine dust jacket. A collection of children's fantasy stories by the British writer Nicholas Stuart Gray, who has recently been rediscovered with the help of Neil Gaiman who called him "one of the most brilliant children's authors of the 20th century." Nearly all of Gray's books are surprisingly difficult to find in the first edition and nice condition.
