First edition thus, hardcover, signed by Lafferty on second endpage above publisher's design, "Review Copy" is written in ink above title on half-title page and a letter from the publisher is laid in. The book has a faint skew to the binding, very slight bumps to spine ends and upper cover corners, and a very small spot near head of fore edge of about 40 pages of text block, otherwise a solid, tight VG+ copy in VG dust jacket, which has very slight bumps to spine ends and corners with a short creased tear at base of front hinge, a touch of edgewear, and some rubbing with a couple very small smudges.
