(1st) Purple boards with lighter purple fleur-de-lis pattern, brown stains and very slight wear from tape at front and back, top and bottom edges, slight surface wear inside covers and adjacent end papers, 184 lightly browned heavy pages. DJ has yellow border to front and spine with disturbing color-illustration of atomic explosion in city, a demon's face and a young woman on front, Nathan's books listed on back. DJ is worn, torn and badly chipped. DJ and book, both Poor--reading copy.

Alfred A. Knopf 1951 First Edition Stated Good++/Good++ DJ Light wear to boards with two tape removal scuff marks on front o/w VG, Light soil inside cover with previous owner's stamp. Solid structure, upper page dedges dyed teal are faded, tight pages lightly tanned, inside page edges deckled. Full dust jacket has two tiny mended tears on back flap is bright and glossy. Jacket is slightly wrinkled where forced into too small dust jacket cover (now removed) o/w VG.
