The third of John Garner's volumes of fairy tales, following "Dragon, Dragon" and "Gudgekin the Thistle Girl". Here we have four more offbeat stories in which elves and witches, heroes and princesses, gnomes and dragons, all get a modern style in the telling. This book is strange in that it has no free endpapers. It is a first printing with the full number line, and has some browning and spotting to the edges and first page. Otherwise a near fine copy in a very good dust jacket indeed, just slightly brown and spotted to the white portions. MC
