First edition, hardcover, has a mild skew to the binding, sun fading to the head with faint toning to the page edges, and light bumps to the spine ends. Overall, this is a solid, tight, Very Good copy in an unclipped, Very Good+ dust jacket, which has light bumps with mild creasing to the spine ends and corners, sunning to the spine, and some slight rubbing to the covers. The jacket is wrapped in Mylar.

One tiny dampstain to back corner of book (and underside of dustjacket). It does not affect the integrity of the book nor the dust jacket. One erasure mark to the top of the front free endpaper. Overall, a most acceptable copy of the first edition of the author's classic first book. Signed by the author on a bookplate affixed to the half-title page.

Inscribed as follows on the title page 'Into the land with Katie-Jonathan.' Nice copy, slight spine lean and very light page edge soil; nice jacket.
