Peter Ruber's nicely printed work on the bibliophile, Vincent Starrett, with tributes from Derleth, Morley, and others. This copy inscribed by Ruber, "For John S. Mayfield - An old friend whom I have just met," and dated in 1968. Accompanying the book is a letter from Mayfield requesting a copy from Ruber. Mayfield has also initialed the book on the rear endpaper, as well as highlighted his publication,One Who Knew Poe,in the bibliographical check list of Starrett's works by Esther Longfellow at the rear. . 31x24cm, 115pp. Illustrations, photographs, facsimiles.
