A 1950's printing. No color illustration except cover. Clean and tight copy -- no names or markings. Outer edge of back cover is color faded affecting 1/2" to 1 1/2" from edge -- I would guess caused by moisture although there is no other damage such as rippling or mildew. ; Small 4to 9" - 11" tall; 281 pages

Hardcover. Red-grey blend cloth over boards. Clean, square copy. Text unmarked. Very light shelf wear. tbrc/kids

Previous owner has attached the bright & colorful front portion of the original dustjacket to the front board (!?). P/O's signature neatly in "Belongs To" box, o/w book is complete, intact & unmarked. Illustrations in b&w by John R. Neill. 281pp. Square, straight, tight, bright & clean except as noted, overall Fine cond. Same or next day shipping. Undated reprint of this title, ca. 1935, with the plates in black and white. Bound in purple cloth with the original color plate attached to the front cover. Pictorial endpapers.An early owner's name in pencil to the "This Book Belongs To" page. The corner of the front cover and the lower page block edges have a light damp stain but the contents are not effected. The binding remains tight and intact. Still a very nice copy.

An edition from the late 40s or early 50s. Red cloth, pictorial pastedown on the front board, plain endsheets, b/w plates, dustjacket priced $2.50. Binding tight and square, modest rubbing at the corners and spine ends, 'belongs to' obliterated. The dustjacket is somewhat rubbed and the spine ends are chipped, and there is squite a bit of clear tape repair.
