Fine Utpatel drawing on front of unclipped DJ $3.50 price). Ten stories in this, Starrett's only collectiion of macabre tales. DJ has mild toning on spine, tiny wrinkle at base back of spine, otherwise near perfect. Book has my name-stamp on ffep and on bottom of text block; otherwise fine. Purchased new from Arkham House, read once; still looks new.

Inscribed and signed by Starrett to free endpaper "For --- with cordial greetings from her old friend, Vincent Starrett". Collects 10 tales of horror and the macabre all previously published. Copies of this book signed by Starrett are quite scarce. The Gary Munson copy sold at auction in Feb, 2022 for $2040. A gift inscription from a former owner beneath the authors inscription else fine in bright glossy boards, the grey endpapers with none of fade often seen. Dust wrapper deeply price clipped else very good.
