The covers have edge wear, are moderately rubbed and the pages are clean and the inside of the covers are tanned. Size: 12mo - over 6¾" - 7¾" tall

Light general use wear, surface and edges rubbed. Corners bumped and show wear. Pages show reader wear. There is a piece of tape on the lower part of the spine. Stock photos may not look exactly like the book.

Minor chipping to bottom of spine of dust jacket and two small tears to rear fold of spine. Book has grey cloth with rose gold gilt. Bumping to top and bottom of spine and corners. Two bumps to top of front board. Book has minor toning. Minor foxing to foredge, and small ink dots to foredge. A very good, solid copy of a scarce title.

Pages clean and bright, previous owner gift inscription on front endpaper, boards and binding tidy, light tanning to jacket spine, some shelf wear to dust jacket with some light spotting and discoloration on jacket rear. Size: 8vo

First edition. Illustrated by Joan Jefferson Farjeon. Dust shadow at the top of text block else fine in about near fine dust jacket toned at the spine and a bit soiled on the rear board. A children's story by the British writer Nicholas Stuart Gray, who has recently been rediscovered with the help of Neil Gaiman who called him "one of the most brilliant children's authors of the 20th century." Nearly all of Gray's books are surprisingly difficult to find, particularly when in the first edition and nice condition. Very scarce.
