Second printing September 1946; 121 p., clean and unmarked; former owner's book plate on front paste down;"Decorations by John O'Hara Cosgrave II", who also designed this elegant little (8" x 5") book. Binding firm; deep blue boards with gilt lettering and stamped image of rearing steed have minimal wear, being well protected by clean glossy pictorial d.j., itself with some chipping at crown and foot of spine panel, and slight rubbing at corners. Story based on real historical characters.

A love story set in St. Augustine, Florida. Book is dedicated to Marjorie Kinnan Rawlings. An attractive, basically crisp and clean copy in a jacket with original $3.00 price.
