Binding firm; deep blue boards with gilt lettering and stamped image of rearing steed have minimal wear, being well protected by clean glossy pictorial d.j., itself with some chipping at crown and foot of spine panel, and slight rubbing at corners. Story based on real historical characters.

Not price clipped, jacket has small chips, back cover has bump. First edition, first printing, August 1946.
