ZIMIAMVIA: A TRILGOY: THE CLASSIC EPIC TRILOGY OF PARALLEL WORLDS **FIRST THUS**pp: 985 [2]. Bound in pictorial card covers. Eddison's first novel, and most famous work was first published in small numbers in 1922. It gained a reputation, and was soon being republished in Britain and the U.S. Curiously, the novel was written backwards, and published in reverse chronological order. The final book was incomplete when Eddison died, and was finished using his notes. Eddison's intention was to leave it as an open novel, which could be read in any order. This comprehensive edition of the complete work includes an introduction and annotations by Paul Edmund Thomas, a foreword by Douglas E. Winter, and illustrations by Keith Henderson. There are chapter notes, a chronology, dramatis personae, and genealogical tables. A very good copy with minor signs of use. The spine is without creases, and the text is complete, and free of markings.
